Rangoli Chandel retweets a clip from veteran actor Raj Kapoor’s film Awara, questioning the selective outrage against Kabir Singh
Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel has taken up the responsibility of fighting against the ‘bullying’ of filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga and supporting his views on his definition of love. In support of the director, Rangoli re-tweeted a video of veteran actor Raj Kapoor’s 1951 movie Awara slapping Nargis, questioning the selective outrage against the Kabir Singh director.
Rangoli’s tweet shared by her on her Twitter account read, “Raj Kapoor’s most sexist and troublesome scene, this is the true face of Bollywood so don’t act holier than thou for a south maker and consider Raj Kapoor a legend #saynotoselectiveoutrage.” In the scene shared by Rangoli, veteran actor Raj Kapoor is seen slapping Nargis multiple times after she jokingly calls the actor ‘Junglee’ which means wild, in the film Awara.

The film Kabir Singh has raised several questions among fans leading them to the angry and hot-headed person Shahid Kapoor portrays the role of in the film. In a scene in the film, lead actor Shahid Kapoor is seen slapping Kiara Advani. This certain scene has created a lot of chaos around the film questioning the director and his views. The director in a recent interview said, “When you are deeply in love and deeply connected to a woman (and vice versa), if you don’t have the liberty of slapping each other, then I don’t see anything there.” Vanga’s comment has received a lot of flak for his comments on social media.
